Abstract
The article analyses the principal characteristics and peculiarities of the U.S. economic model and their evolution in the beginning of the XXI century. The author formulates the definition of “country’s economic model”, emphasizes the distinctions of American model from the economic models of other countries. The article considers the role and significance of the U.S. economic model in overcoming the 2008-2009 crises and in economic and social development.
