Аннотация
Данная статья рассматривает участие США в строительстве политических механизмов в Ираке после свержения режима Саддама Хусейна (2003-2008 гг.). Целью работы является определение причин, по которым силами возглавляемой США коалиции не удалось в сжатые сроки создать политическую структуру, консолидирующую иракское общество, и таким образом избежать роста этно-религиозного насилия в Ираке.
