Abstract
The consistent elimination of bank secrecy, privacy of personal economic activities and correspondence are taking place in the USA, countries of the European Union, Russia and some others during the last decade. Due to modern electronic information systems, personal data and private life details are becoming the matter of knowledge not only by state bureaucrats but also by third irrelevant parties capable to inflict significant damage to an ordinary private taxpayer. Despite the tainted reputation in the past, the modern tax heavens have changed considerably during the last two decades toward more openness, legitimacy, and continue to enjoy wide popularity among entrepreneurs and wealthy individuals seeking to preserve their property. Offshore trusts in the Caribbean in spite of everything continue to attract owners from all over the world especially from the USA.
