Abstract
The article deals with analysis of the main reasons for U.S. involvement in the transatlantic integration. It considers the potential opportunities and risks of lib-eralization of Euro-Atlantic cooperation, particularly in the financial services in-dustry. It is concluded that for Russia it is reasonable to stay outside the transat-lantic free trade area.
