Abstract
The author analyses the U.S. policy towards Ukraine in the period of development of internal political crisis. The approaches of the American experts community to the formation of the strategy of U.S. engagement with post-Soviet States in the conditions of development of the crisis in Ukraine and Russia's role in the region are studied. The impact of the situation in Ukraine on the prospects of Russian-American relations has been evaluated.
