Abstract
After two decades of rather limited contacts with the moderate Islamists today - on a wave of political transformation occurring in a number of the Arab countries - the USA assumes an open interaction with them. Official Washington considers inevitable the participation of moderate islamists in the political life of even the formally secular Arab states.
