Abstract
The article deals with D. Trump foreign economic initiatives within six months of his presidency. A critical look is taken on US withdrawal from Trans-Pacific Partnership and suspension of Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership talks with EU. The author emphasizes a danger of possible US disregard for the universal WTO trade rules. Special attention is drawn to negative reaction of main US economic partners to protectionist tendencies of new American administration politics as well as to its determination to follow the markets liberalization and economic globalization. One of the main conclusions made by the author is that Trump team insisting on the desire to make America Great in fact departs from the basic principles of foreign policy and economic course of the country which were not questioned by any of his predecessors.
