Abstract
The article examines current positions of US companies in foreign trade and direct investments in the aftermaths of the 2007-2009 crisis. The influence of the crisis on the participation of US companies in global economic processes is analyzed as well as the challenges and opportunities the companies are dealing with in the global context for creating competitive advantages.
