Abstract
In this article analysis and evaluation of evolution of the United States military policy during the period of 2009-2015 are given. Military strategy under G. Bush was built around the idea of US unprecedented hegemony. B. Obama won the presidential race due to his new political program. Because of its successive character B. Obama’s military strategy had to adapt it to his promises that had been given during the elections. New course of military policy were developed in difficult economic situation in the USA. The main goal of military strategy of USA under B. Obama was aimed at decreasing American military presence in the Greater Middle East and shifting National Security priorities to the region of South Eastern Asia. These changes were reflected in key military doctrines.
