Abstract
B. Obama's China policy sets as its goal to find a balance between a hardline in geopolitics and military sphere, on the one hand, and interdependence in economy, on the other. 512 Drastic shifts in U.S. military strategy declared by Pentagon in 2012, made no direct impact on the military balance between China and U.S. as yet. The U.S. reinvigourated its ties with the main allies and partners in the Asia Pacific. New trends are visible in the investment sphere amidst growing protectionist moods on both sides.
