Abstract
This text deals with B. Obama and M. Romney debate on the «China issue» as well as the XVIII Congress of the CP in China – its foreign policy dimension and possible implications for the China – U.S. relations. This phase, especially in China, is progressing amidst obviously intensive elite conflict. Given formidable internal pressure both elites show «intuitive» inclination for interdependence and minimizing the danger of bilateral dispute. However the risks of conflict scenarios are still there, especially in the military sphere.
