Abstract
The author analyzes certain judicial decisions linked to constitutional aspects of federal-regional relations as well as compares roles of the Supreme Court of Canada and the Constitutional Court of Russian Federation in the area of determination of competences and functions of federal and regional state bodies in the two nations respectively. Special attention is paid to the description of models of judicial interpretation within the framework of implementation of the subsidiarity principle.
