Abstract
The author analyzes the current state of the U.S. gas industry with regard to the impact on it of shale-gas production. The survey provides data on the resource base, dynamics and projections of gas production, imports and exports, it also reviews strategies of oil and gas companies and the U.S. gas industry infrastructure development.
